Hi there! Brian here! I wanted to tell you some things about myself and my interest in gambling. I’ve been deep in the scene for over 15 years, but before that, I was just another kid glued to strategy games, gotcha games, and loot boxes. I didn’t get into gambling because I thought it was an easy way to make money. I’ve always liked games that make me think, whether it was strategy games, gotcha mechanics, or even figuring out the best way to grind in an MMO. I was never the guy spending hundreds chasing a rare skin, but I was always curious about the odds behind it all. That same mindset carried over when I started looking into gambling.
I wanted to know which games actually gave me a shot, where skill made a difference, and which ones were just dressed-up money pits. Over time, I learned how casinos operate, what tricks they use to keep players around, and how to spot a good deal from a bad one. That’s what keeps me interested. Definitely not blind luck, but understanding the system.
I’m all about games where skill actually matters. Blackjack, poker, sports betting. If there’s a way to think ahead and make smart moves, I’m in.
What I’m not into? Slots and other games where you just press a button and hope for the best. I’ve tried them, of course, and I play them occasionally, but sitting there watching reels spin with zero control isn’t my thing. I get why people enjoy them, but I’d rather play something where my decisions make a difference.
I like things to be in order. My space is always tidy, my plans are laid out, and I don’t let things pile up (physically or mentally). I’m not one of those people who thrives in chaos. If something needs to be done, I do it. If something is a mess, I fix it. Some might call it rigid, but I just don’t see the point in unnecessary clutter. I’m also not a night owl. I like having a routine, and I function best when everything runs on schedule. I don’t stay up until ridiculous hours, and I don’t believe in working better under pressure. If something needs my attention, I get it done before it becomes a problem.
When I was in school, it was fine. I wasn’t at the top of the class, but I wasn’t struggling either. If something interested me, I’d focus on it. If it didn’t, I’d do what was needed to get by. I was never the type to stress over grades, but I liked knowing things that actually mattered. That’s probably why I prefer figuring things out for myself instead of just taking someone’s word for it.
When I got to university, things changed a bit. I studied Media & Information Studies, and for the first time, I actually cared about what I was learning. Understanding how media shapes perception, how companies spin narratives, and how advertising plays on emotions made me see things differently. I started questioning how information was presented, looking past the surface, and breaking things down instead of just accepting them. A lot of people in my field went into marketing or PR. I personally had no interest in selling anything. I was more interested in cutting through the noise, spotting the tricks, and figuring out what was real and what was just a polished sales pitch. That mindset stuck with me, and I carry it into everything I do now.
I can be a little judgmental, and I won’t pretend otherwise. I notice bad decisions, and I don’t have much patience for nonsense. If someone is making a mess of something simple or pretending to know more than they do, I tend to call it like I see it. That’s just how I’ve always been. I guess this might make me seem like a bigot, but I would also say I think I am pretty reasonable.
I started writing reviews because I was tired of the fake ones. Too many sites just copy-paste whatever a casino wants to hear, hyping up bad bonuses and ignoring the fine print. That’s not me. I actually do the work to see how these casinos really operate. If a site has fast payouts, fair bonuses, and decent games, I’ll say so. If it’s a nightmare to cash out or full of sneaky terms, I’ll make sure you know.
